This 2- hour class is all about departing the original text! As a primarily functional maker, with this new book I explored some new areas for me. I would love to dive into the deepens with you and talk techniques for developing your sculptural ideas. I am going to start simple and using the lesson in my book start with animals. I’m going to discuss the technical challenges of this project. Mostly slab construction and some additive processes. In addition to developing reductive sculpting techniques and ways to help you break free from any psychological confines and have some fun developing your own creatures. Discussion and demonstration of finishing techniques will be seen as well ( underglaze surfaces).
